Carl Christianson, age 68 of DeSoto, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Carl R. Christianson, age 68 of DeSoto, died Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Gundersen-Lutheran in LaCrosse. He was born on February 17, 1941 in Viroqua, Wisconsin to Norman and Darleen (Turner) Christianson. On August 6, 1985 he was united in marriage to Deborah L. Beahm. Carl worked at G. Heileman Brewery in LaCrosse for many years. Following his retirement, he worked part time at Wonder Wash in LaCrosse in addition to other jobs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Carl loved to feed and watch birds and also had a home business sharpening saws. In addition to his wife, Deb, he is survived by two sons, David and Dan; two step-children: Will Fillback and Tracy Fillback; a special "adopted daughter", Stacy Peterson; two brothers, Verlin (Teresa) Christianson of Genoa and Merlin Christianson of Genoa; a sister, Doris (Millard) Ray of Baytown, TX; sister-in-law, Donna Farrington of Fall River, WI; one special aunt, Lucille Cooper of Muscoda; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Bonnie Christianson; mother and father-in-law, Wilfred and Esther (Jacob) Beahm; one brother-in-law, and one sister-in-law. Friends may call on Monday, May 4, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at which time there will be a prayer service, at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Homes of Viroqua and DeSoto are serving the family.
