Carla O. Thompson, age 93 of Coon Valley, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 Carla O. Thompson, age 93 of Coon Valley, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005. She was born on August 4, 1911 to John and Emma (Lee) Johnson. On February 26, 1949 she was united in marriage to Myron Thompson. They lived in LaCrosse until Myrons death on November 3, 1979. She then moved to Coon Valley. Carla was a member of the American Legion Auxilary, Skogdalen Lutheran Church and the WELCA. She was a former member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in LaCrosse. Carla enjoyed meeting people and making new friends wherever she went. She is survived by one daughter, Myra (James) Madden of Palm Harbor, FL; one son, Darrell (Vicky) Thompson of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren: Daniel and Michael Thompson of Marietta, GA; one great-grandson, Benjamin Thompson; cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Junior Johnson.
