Carla R. Olson, age 92 of Westby, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 Carla R. Olson, age 92 of Westby, died Saturday, September 3, 2011. She was born on August 30, 1919 to John and Clara (Aarstad) Wangen. On September 27, 1939 she was united in marriage to Arthur Olson and together they farmed for 48 years until retiring and moving into Westby in 1987. Carla was a member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church and the WELCA. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Clinton) Solberg of Sherwood, WI; son, Allen (Alene) Olson of Lake Delton, WI; five grandchildren: Tanya (Juan Hurtado) Solberg, Kimberly (Wael) Wehbe, Michael (Maria) Solberg, Ingrid (Brian) Frank, and Wade Olson; nine great-grandchildren: Elena and Lucas Hurtado, Evan and Carmen Weheb, Evangelos and Athena Solberg, Kiersten and Ethan Frank, and Tyler Olson; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons and her husband, Arthur on December 18, 1995; one great-grandchild, Andreas Solberg; four brothers: Jalmar Wangen, Ray Wangen, Alton Wangen, Clayton Wangen. Blessed be our memory of Carla Olson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Hallemeier will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemtery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby.
