Carol A. Hall, age 56 of Westby, died Saturday October 13, 2018. Carol Ann Wolfe-Hall passed away on October 13, 2018 due to heart complications at Gundersen Health System. She was born April 11, 1962 in Viroqua to Burl and Jenifer (Shumate) Wolfe. Carol is so loved and will be missed by many. Surviving her include her husband, Martin Hall, to whom she was married on December 26,1987, brother and best friend Bruce Wolfe, sister Shari (Charlie) Jacobson and nephew Alex Jacobson, who had his Aunt Carol wrapped around his finger from the day he was born. She was lovingly called Aunt Calol from the moment he was able to talk. Others include brothers-in-law Mike (Sheri) Hall. and Mark Hall, nieces Brianna and Krista Hall, nephews Matt and Austin Hall, and mother-in-law Arlene Hall. Her extended family includes all the members and staff at the Heart Center at Vernon Memorial. Lastly, is her dog Lenny who will be lost without her. He always provided a bright spot in each of her days. Preceding her in death include parents, Burl and Jenifer Wolfe, brother-in-law Bill Gaumer, and father-in-law LaVerne Hall. Carol was well known for always having a sweet treat of some sort when someone stopped by. Most of the time it was chocolate chip cookies but special treats were her donuts. Many looked forward to those. Most of the time you would end up leaving with a goody bag of treats. Carol was a wonderful cook. She would often make a meal for someone who needed a little cheering up or was unable to prepare on their own. Giving to others is what brought her great joy. Carol was well known as the cheerleader among her exercise group at the Heart Center at VMH. She was the one who kept everyone motivated and encouraged them when they felt discouraged. They truly were like family to her. She found joy in stopping by to see her friends at Quillins, especially Josh who had a very special place in her heart and her friends at the Dollar Store in Westby. Even though Carol was met with many struggles in her life, she persevered and tried to stay positive. She was one of the strongest, caring and loving people I know. I have been blessed to have her as my sister and friend. The family would like to thank the ER staff at Vernon Memorial for the wonderful care they provided on Sunday and to the staff in Coronary Care Unit at Gundersen Health System. The way they cared for Carol went above and beyond providing medical care. It was obvious to us that taking good care of her really mattered to them. Funeral Services for Carol will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Pastor George Shick of the Redemption Chapel in Viroqua will officiate with burial immediately after the service. A luncheon at Borgens will follow the services.
