Carole Elaine Peterson

Carole Elaine Peterson, 81, of rural Soldiers Grove, died peacefully Wednesday, August 19th, 2026, at Norseland Nursing Home in Westby. She was born November 4th, 1944, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Robinson) Harger in Cedar Rapids, IA. Carole lived in several states in her life and loved living in the rural Soldiers Grove area. She was a caring and loving person, always willing to help others and loved ones whenever or whatever their need. She helped farm and milked cows for many years. Carole enjoyed gardening, garage sales, mushroom hunting, reading, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren cooking and baking, always sharing with every opportunity.

Carole is survived by her children, Robert Richardson Cox, Rhonda White, Rose Foley, and Jim Cox; stepchildren, Jeannie Zimpel, Robert Cox, Jackie Cox, and Lani Bustos; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at St. Philip Catholic Cemetery in Rolling Ground. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.

Many thanks and heartfelt appreciation to Carole’s great-granddaughter and caregiver Amber Parish for helping, serving and providing loving care for Carole through her physical difficulties and dementia. Amber has truly been a blessing to this family.
