Catherine (Davison) Markee, age 103 of Westby died Monday, July 16, 2007 Catherine (Davison) Markee, age 103 of Westby died Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Norseland Nursing Home in Westby. She was born of March 5, 1904 to Adolph and Alice (White) Nuesse in Turtle Lake, WI. She was united in marriage to Wallace Davison on September 6, 1922 and he died on November 16, 1972. She later married Cecil Markee and he died on February 2, 1983. She moved to this area from Minneapolis, MN with her Husband Wallace, who was a Methodist minister, in 1943. Catherine is survived by one daughter: Shirley Woods of Cashton; two step-daughters: Jean Alderman of Holmen; Delora (Fred) Johnson of La Crosse. One granddaughter: Diana (Robert) Poulson, Dayton, NJ. Four grandsons: David (Peggy) Woods of Westby; Bruce (Kathy) Woods of Cashton; Timothy (Robin) Woods of Endeavor, WI; William (Tricia) Woods of Anchorage, AK; seven great-great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Wallace Davison and Cecil Markee; one son, Bruce; two brothers; two sisters; two half sisters; three half brothers and her son-in-law, Burnil Woods. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Wesleyan Church, rural Ontario, Wisconsin. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate with burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
