Catherine Marie Smith, age 56 of LaCrosse, WI passed away on March 26, 2007 Catherine Marie Smith, age 56 of LaCrosse, WI passed away on March 26, 2007 in LaCrosse, WI after a brief illness. She was born in Cloquet on January 25, 1951 to Benjamin and Lucy (Coffey) LaDuke. Catherine was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Elgin Smith; children Kirsty (Dave) Taylor of Duluth, Jennifer Poier of Duluth and Amanda Smith of Albin, Iowa; grandchildren Del-Rio Taylor, Donte Taylor and Maliki Smith; sisters Julia Reynolds of Cloquet and Angelique Coffey of Duluth and brothers Sylvester (Shirley) LaDuke of Mora, MN and Bruce LaDuke of Cloquet. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 5 8 pm in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave, Cloquet, MN (218) 879-4636. The visitation will continue on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 12:00 noon until the 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Catholic Church, 280 Reservation Road, Cloquet. Interment in New Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is assisting the family with local arrangements.
