Celia L. Fish, 98, of La Crosse / Dell died Sunday, November 14, 2010. Celia Leota Fish, 98 year old of La Crosse, WI died peacefully at the Mulder Nursing Home in West Salem, WI, Sunday, November 14, 2010. She was born on February 5, 1912 in rural Clinton Township, Vernon County WI to Edward and Ona (Harris) Clark. She graduated from La Farge High School in June of 1931. Celia married Ceo Fish on June 25, 1932 at Lime Ridge and they farmed for many years in the Westby Dell and Viroqua areas. They also lived in the Mt Horeb and Madison area where Celia worked for 13 years at the University Hospital in Madison they returned to the Westby Dell area after retirement. After Ceos death in 1989, she moved to La Crosse and lived there until she moved to the Prairie Home in Holmen, WI. She became ill in May of 2010 and moved back to La Crosse to live with her daughter and son-in-law, until she entered the Mulder Nursing Home on November 4, 2010.Celia loved to make quilts and do embroidery she enjoyed making scrap books, gardening, flowers and watching her birds. She is survived by her five children: Alice (Doug) Olson La Crosse, WI, Ronald (Yvonne) Fish Tempe, AZ, Myron Fish Alameda, CA, Janice Jeffers Elkhart, IN, Roger (Cherith) Fish Oregon, WI, 10 grandchildren: Dirk (Diane) Olson, Sonja Kerr & John Roth, Lisa (John) Sahli; Joel Olson, Steve (Darcy) Fish, Mark (Darlene) Fish, Phillip (Sandy) Fish, Ellen Garcia, Kristen (David) Houpt, Kelly Jeffers; 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by husband, Ceo; son-in-law, Jerome Jeffers; four sisters: Chloie (Albert) Peterson, Josie (Phillip) Cary, Marcia (Orpheus) Clausen, Viva (Mervin) McDonald.Blessed be our memory of Celia Fish. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dell United Methodist Church. Pastor Karen Bankes, Pastor George Shick and Pastor Mark Fish will officiate with burial in the Dell Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main, Hwy 14 in Westby.
