Charlene M. OKane, 65, of Bell Center died Sunday, February 10, 2013. Charlene M. OKane, 66, of Bell Center died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her home. Charlene was born in Grant County on June 17, 1946 to Elijah and Virginia (Dunbar) Roth. She grew up in Grant and Crawford Counties and graduated from Boscobel High School. In 1991 she was united in marriage to Henry OKane and they lived the past many years in Bell Center. Charlene was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed watching birds and planting flowers. She was a dedicated servant to those around her enjoying feeding her many friends and spending time with her family. What brought her the most joy was making those around her happy. Charlene was survived by her husband Henry; children Lisa Burgfeld and her children Jason, Jessica and Dustin; Dereck (Trisha) Smith and their children Isaac, Dawson and Brody; Kimberly OKane (Julius Fizer) and their children Treanna and Julius Jr.; daughter Angelas children James and Shane; mother Virginia Roth; siblings Ronnie, Sharon and Patsy; aunt Phyllis; uncle Dale; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; daughter Angela; and aunt Alice Dykel. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2012 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. A Celebration of Life with a luncheon will be held at the Gays Mills Village Hall on Sunday at 11 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
