Cheryl Ann Mickelson, age 74, of Soldiers Grove, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Cheryl was born in Richland Center, WI, on January 29, 1952, to Harold and Edna (nee Groves) Olson. She attended North Crawford Schools and graduated in 1970. Cheryl married Kenneth Leroy Mickelson on June 9, 1973.
Cheryl had a love for horses and flowers, teaching Sunday school and Bible school, and was very involved with her grandchildren in 4-H. She was a longtime Mary Kay representative and worked for Bethel Home and Maplewood Terrace.
Survivors include her children: Christie (Robert) Nickel, Keith (Irene) Mickelson, Kenneth Aaron Mickelson, Kurt (Stephanie) Groom; her grandchildren: Cody (Taryne) Sidie, Jessica (Marcus) Hamann, Carissa Valentine, Justin Valentine, Cole, Wyatt and Hailey Mickelson, Kenneth, Mitchell, and Archie Mickelson, Lindsay (Austin), Ethan, Kristal, and Kaden Groom; her great grandchildren: Aidan Mickelson, Jackson, Mary, and Martha Hamann, Natalie and Kenneth Sidie, Kason, Hadley, Remington, and Violet; her brother, Donald (Patricia) Olson; sister-in-law, Lilly, Olson; brothers-in-law, Paul (Darlene) Mickelson and Alvin Mickelson; and special dearest friend, Janelle Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Leroy Mickelson; her parents, Harold and Edna; an infant brother, Robert; brothers, Rodrick (Patricia) and Richard Olson; and her special friend Camron Ross.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Soldiers Grove at 10:00am. A memorial service will begin at 11:00am. A luncheon will immediately follow at church.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to both the Aspen Place care team and the St. Croix Hospice care team.
