Chester Dennison

Chester Dennison passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 97. Chester was born on March 31, 1916 in Stoddard, WI to Herman and Stella (Burgust) Dennison. He farmed most of his life on Lake Ridge near Viroqua. On February 5, 1944 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Knutson. She preceded him in death in 1988. On December 27, 1996 he was united in marriage to Inez DePaolo. He is survived by his wife, Inez; one daughter, Ann Dennison-Rose; one granddaughter, Denise Monks; one grandson, Gerald Monks (Jennifer); two great-granddaughters; Renata and Charlotte Monks; three stepdaughters; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Hanson; two brothers: Richard and Dale Dennison; and one brother in infancy. On Friday, December 13th, visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral home, 123 W Decker (Highway 56), Viroqua. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec 14th at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1201 Avon St, La Crosse. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
