Clair "Butch" Morrison

Clair William "Butch" Morrison, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away in rural La Farge, WI on July 23, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 10, 1960, in Viroqua, WI, to Clair Junior and Lila (Benson) Morrison, Butch was known for his fun-loving spirit, friendly demeanor, and creative talent, especially in his professional life. Butch was a small business owner specializing in painting and remodeling. His work was not just a means to an end, but a passion that allowed him to express his creativity and contribute to the beauty and comfort of his community. His clients appreciated his attention to detail and commitment to excellence, and he was respected among his peers for his work ethic and integrity.

Butch was a devoted family man, deeply loved by his wife Sherri (Mowery) Morrison; his daughters, Annmarie Morrison, Abigail Schreck, and Bri (fiancee Davus Dull-Ellefson) Schreck; and his siblings, Connie Morrison, Dennis (Cindy) Morrison, and Kevin (Linda) Morrison. He also shared a special bond with his father-in-law, Mike Mowery and mother-in-law, Chris Mowery, and he was a cherished uncle to his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Those who knew Butch appreciated his sense of humor and his friendly, outgoing personality. He was always ready with a joke or a funny story, and his laughter was contagious. Butch was also known for his kindness and generosity. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was helping with a home improvement project or just being there to listen and offer support. Butch's love of the outdoors was well-known. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, activities that brought him peace and joy.

He also loved spending time with his daughters, whether it was teaching them his favorite hobbies or just enjoying their company. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and his girls were his pride and joy. In addition to his professional endeavors and family commitments, Butch was an active member of his community. He was always ready to lend a hand and was known for his generosity and willingness to help others. His impact on his community will be remembered, as will his warm smile and friendly nature. In losing Butch, we have lost a beacon of positivity and laughter, a loyal friend, a loving father, and a devoted husband. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched, the work he created, and the love he shared. As we remember Butch, we will celebrate his life, his laughter, and his love. His memory will forever be a part of our lives, and he will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Butch's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the La Farge Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A lunch will be held following the service. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
