Clarence Furaas, age 93 of Viroqua, died Thursday, February 28, 2008. Clarence Furaas, 93 of Viroqua, went to meet his Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. He was born on November 6, 1914 in Crawford County to Ole and Brita (Eide) Furaas. He retired from farming and moved in with his sister in Viroqua. For the past two years he had lived at Park View Manor and enjoyed the company and watching sports on television. He is survived by his daughter: Clarice (Selmer) Rudser of Viroqua, WI; two grandsons: Bryan (Kristine) Rudser of Janesville, WI; Brent (Anne) Rudser, Minnetonka, MN; four great-grandchildren: Nathaniel and Ashley Rudser of Janesville, WI; Andrew and Peter Rudser of Minnetonka, MN; one sister: Carrie Evans of Freeport, IL; nieces: Gael (Nigel) Crouch, New Cannon, CT; Jean (Terrance) Reilly of El Cajon, CA.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Olga Furaas and Mabel Furaas; Infant brother: Peder Furaas; one nephew: Richard Evans.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. The Rev. Lindsay Paul Jordan and The Rev. Margaret Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
