Clarice Theresa (Nash) Turner, age 81, died on Sunday, November 8 2015. Clarice Theresa (Nash) Turner, age 81, died at the Bethel Home in Viroqua, Wisconsin on Sunday, November 8 2015. Clarice was born at home in Ferryville, back when doctors made house calls. The first child born to Clarence and Thelma (Sandy)Nash on February 22, 1934, she was followed by five brothers and two sisters: Donald, Jodine, Roger, Edward, Diane, Gaylord and John. Born with Spinal Bifida, Clarice was unable to walk until she was eight years old. She attended school for one year, but was taught to read and write by her mother Thelma. Clarice was baptized at Southwest Prairie Church and confirmed at age 14. She still lived at home with her parents in 1965 when she started attending Camp Wabeek in Madison for two weeks every summer. In 1965, she met the love of her life, Roger Turner at the camp. In 1967, they married and set up house in Roger's hometown of Beloit, Wisconsin. They later moved to Janesville, where they lived most of their lives. They were happily married for 36 years until Roger was called home due to complications from Cerebral Palsy. Clarice loved children and was adored by her many nieces and nephews. She was a very special sister, wife and friend. Clarice is survived by four brothers: Donald Nash, Roger (Darlas) Nash, Edward Nash, John (Chris) Nash; and two sisters: Jodine (Arlie) Dunnum and Diane Prenot. Clarice is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-laws Alan (Pat) Turner, Shirley (Jim) Humphes, Kathy (Dave) Gerber, Carol (Richard) Green, David (Vicky) Turner; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; a brother, Gaylord Nash; and her parents, Clarence and Thelma Nash. Private family services were held.
