Clementine M. Tryggestad

Clementine M. Tryggestad, age 97, of Viroqua, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Norseland Nursing Home. She was born on May 10, 1927, in Urban, MN, to Bernard and Agnes (Suchy) Buerskin. She married Rayness “Boogan” Tryggestad on September 7, 1953, in Urbank, MN. They lived in Rockford, Illinois prior to moving to Bud where they owned and operated the Bud Store for 35 years. In 2005, they moved to Westby. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, helping to run the store with her husband, and being a homemaker. She spent the last few years living at Maplewood Assisted Living in Viroqua.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Tryggestad and Glen (Renee) Tryggestad; her granddaughter, Sara (Brad) Stoll; one great-grandson, Adler Stoll; her sister, Josie Erickson; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Clementine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rayness “Boogan”; her brother, Danny (Carolyn) Buerskin; her sisters, Loretta (Stanley) Nygaard, Mary Jane (Herbert) Waskosky, and Magdalene Schlosser; and her brother-in-law, Jim Erickson.

A Graveside Service will be held at Noon on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Viroqua Cemetery. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
