Colleen Kay Erickson, age 71 of Viroqua, died Friday, October 30, 2009. Colleen Kay Erickson, age 71 of Viroqua, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at her home. She was born on August 5, 1938 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Colleen lived many years in Minnesota and became a resident of Viroqua about 6 years ago. She enjoyed watching baseball and was fortunate to be able to see baseball games from her apartment. She also loved fishing, reading, playing cards and caring for others. Colleen is survived by three children: Valerie (Charles) Erickson of St. Paul, MN, Michael Erickson of Brook Park, MN, and David (Synetta) Erickson of Viroqua; five grandchildren: Codie, Renae, Michelle, Shaya, and Sharilyn; four siblings: James (Pat) Russell of Sheboygan, Ruth (Jerry) Orcutt of North Carolina, Mary (Ken) Aberham of LaCrosse and Bill (Sue) Russell of Stoddard; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Helen (Hugel) Russell and her son, Patrick. Blessed be our memory of Colleen Kay Erickson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Father Robert J. Cook will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday after 10:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua.
