Corey Shawn Spencer

“Corey Shawn” Spencer (“Keshon” Demetrius), passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Corey was born on May 13, 1997. He was the owner of 7 Ages Music Production, “All the world’s a stage.” He had a huge loving heart that showed through in his self-taught music, both playing, engineering, and creating. He learned the craft of creating guitars, including his own. He was proud of his siblings, and always looked up to them. Corey was an intelligent old soul, unique, talented, and excelled at everything that he put his mind to. With a contagious smile that could light up a room. He was a meticulous worker and creative chef and carpenter. He was talented, creative, inquisitive, and innovative. He loved working the numbers on projects, was intrigued with the railways, loved living in his van, and had big dreams. He was an awesome drummer, acoustic, electric, and bass player. He could even toot a few horns. He was a member of several bands through the years. He was a great son, brother, friend to many and is held tight in each of our hearts.

Survivors include his parents, Dale and Jeanne (Kargl) Spencer; his siblings, Casey (Olevia) Spencer, Rebecca Spencer, Kenneth (fiancée Chyanne Hase) Spencer, Victoria (Nick) Beeman, Haley Spencer, Christopher (Mary) Bassett, Kemone, Doneshia, Ryan, Jessica, Dakota, Hunter, Katie, Pee Wee, and Peanut; aunts and uncles, Cindy (Ken) Jensen, Bob (partner, Jennifer) Kargl, Gary (Sharon) Spencer, and Susan Hooven; Lionel Thompson, Keshia Craig, and Cheryl Craig; cousins, Eric, Manda, and Paul Jensen; several nieces and nephews, other cousins, relatives, and friends.

Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents and his uncles, Mike Kargl and Mike Spencer.
