Craig Widner

Craig W. Widner, 54, of Viroqua, WI passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born in Viroqua, WI to Janice (Widner) Whitt on January 31, 1969.

He attended Viroqua High School and after school, he worked numerous places in the area.

He worked for Dregne Home Improvement Siding and Construction briefly as he was good at working with siding and an expert shingler. Craig also worked for Howard Johnson Enterprises several years. He was always willing to try and help someone who needed help. His favorite past times included: hunting, fishing, especially hunting for morel mushrooms, and spending time and joking with his friends.

You can bet there was a cloud of witnesses as Craig entered the Heavenly Realm.

Craig is survived by his mother, Janice M. Whitt of Viroqua; brothers, Todd A. Widner and Chad L. Whitt all of Viroqua; children: Darcey Nash, Dylan Nash, and Kavid Nash, all of La Crosse and Troy and Dennis Widner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorman and Lillian (Lawrence) Widner; his aunt, Carnita (Widner) Peterson; his uncle, Donald Widner; and his stepfather, David L. Whitt.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Vosseteig Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of service. Craig will be laid to rest at Salem Ridge Cemetery.
