David Gilman, 55, of Melrose Park, IL, died Sunday, September 11, 2011. David Ray Gilman, 54, of Melrose Park, IL, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011. He was the loving son of Roland and Thelma; beloved husband of Kelly; loving father of Kevin; brother of Pamela, Brenda, Ronald and Lisa. And special uncle and cousin to many. He owned and operated numerous snack shops and was known as Ziggy. He loved to cook and enjoyed singing rhythm & blues. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Retreat United Methodist Church. Pastor Laverne Larson will officiate with burial in the Walnut Mound Cemetery at Retreat. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 12 noon to the time of the service at 1.
