Dawn M. Koll, age 62 of Coon Valley, died Monday, January 18, 2010. Dawn Marie Koll, age 62 of Coon Valley, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Franciscan Skemp in LaCrosse. She was born on March 2, 1947 in LaCrosse to Merlin and Lorraine (Nestingen) Rudie. She attended Homstead Grade School and graduated from Westby High School in 1965. On October 11, 1969 she was united in marriage to Terry M. Koll. Dawn worked as a LPN at St. Francis for many years. She loved her flowers and was especially proud of her grandchildren. Dawn is survived by her parents, Merlin and Lorraine; her two children: Jeffrey (Janet) Koll of LaCrosse and Taunya (Kirk) Franck of Onalaska; five grandchildren: Breanna, Jerimiah, and Kaitlyn Koll, and Molly and Kole Franck; six siblings: David (Bonnie) Rudie of Tomahawk, Jean (Jeff Clark) Rudie of LaCrosse, Mary Rudie of Westby, John (Dawn) Rudie of Westby, Randy (Terri) Rudie of Coon Valley and Seri (Marvin) Sommerfeldt of Sealy, TX; four sisters-in-law: Phyllis Galstad of LaCrosse, Beverly Nelson of Onlaska, Dorothy (Rich) Garbers of West Salem and Sharon Smith of Oklahoa City, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Koll on November 21, 1996. Blessed be our memory of Dawn M. Koll. Private funeral services will be held at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church with The Rev. Mitzi Miyamoto officiating. Burial will be in the Coon Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery next to her husband. A visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
