Dawn Marie Olson, age 25 of Westby, died Sunday, August 12, 2012. Dawn Marie Olson, age 25 of Westby, died Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was born on January 5, 1987 in Maricopa County, Arizona. Dawn graduated from Westby High School and became a Certified Nursing Assistant, working at Mulder Health Care Facility in West Salem. She is survived by her parents: Rick and Lorri Olson of Westby; her daughter, Lauralee Shae Olson who was the joy of her life; two older sisters: Tammy Marie and Tina Marie, both of California; younger sister, Brittany Nicole Olson of Westby; older brother Eric Lee (Missy) Olson of Hayfield, MN; paternal grandmother, Beverly Olson of Cashton; numerous nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. " She had a huge heart and would give the shirt off her back." Dawn was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Bernadine Glick and paternal grandfather, Arnold "LeRoy" Olson. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 1 to 3 p.m. with a 2:30 p.m. prayer service at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
