Debbie Volden

Debbie Volden, age 43 of rural LaFarge, after a courageous battle with cancer, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 4, 2006. She was born on January 28, 1963. She is survived by her husband, Randy; three children: Jeff Thompson, Shannon Thompson, and Crystal Volden; two grandchildren: Sierra and Riley; her mother, Mary Forde; grandmother, Verle Fish; mother and father-in-law, Joel and Loretta Volden; five siblings: Joel (Chris) Rickey, Teresa (Scott) Knutson, Cindy Rickey, Robert (Dorothy) Rickey, and Kevin Forde; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Debbie was preceded in death by her dad, Reuben Forde and grandfather, Milford Fish. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church on Salem Ridge, rural LaFarge. Pastor George Shick will officiate with burial in the Bloomingdale Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Friends may also call after 12:00 noon on Friday at the church. "The family would like to thank all the wonderful friends and neighbors for their support and encouragement.
