Delaine Schell

Delaine Schell, 87, of Cashton, died Friday, March 29, 2013 Delaine Evelyn (Erickson) Schell age 87, passed away on Friday, march 29, 2013 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. Delain was born March 23rd, 1926 in Melvina, Monroe County to Arthur and Tillie (Thompson) Erickson. She was united in marriage to Harland Christopherson on February 4th, 1943 and to Howard Schell on June 13th, 1964. Delaine enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cards, shopping, and coffee with friends. She is survived by her children Chris (Bonnie) Christopherson of Viroqua, Michael (Mary) Christopherson of Verona, Pamela (Rob) Baron of Boynton Beach, FL, David (Pam) Christopherson of Wabasha, MN; step-sons Bruce Schell of Sussex and Brad Schell of La Crosse; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; relatives and friends. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; son Robert Christopherson, step-son Jerry Schell; brothers Lawrence Gilbeck and Marvin Gilbeck; and sisters Mable Dinger, Thelma Wheeler and Myrtle Lee. Delaine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed. Blessed be her memory. In lieu of flowers and plants the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Immanuel Moen Lutheran Church Ladies Aid. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday April 6, at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main, in Westby. Pastor Steven Fossum will officiate with burial to follow at Moen Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11. The family wishes to thank Bethel Home Staff for the care that Delaine received, Pastor Fossum and Dr. Radcliff. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
