Delores Maxine Olson

Delores Maxine Olson, September 13, 2005 Delores Maxine Olson, age 74 of Viroqua, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. She was born April 3, 1931 to Oscar and Jeanette (Dahl) Erickson and graduated from Viroqua High School. In 1950, she married Wesley Verdell Olson. They farmed for several years and later divorced. Delores worked at Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua for 22 years and retired in 1987. She then worked part-time in Home Health Care and was very proud of the work she did helping others. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by 5 children: Steven (Carey) Olson of Viroqua, Thomas (Kim) Olson of Viroqua, Terry Olson of Viroqua, Susan (Larry) Arttus of Sparta, and Sandra (Karl) Venner of Viroqua; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: Valerie (Kent) Hattlestad and their children, Payton and Piper; Lori (Will) Buckles and their children, Taylor, Mackenzie, and Logan; Benjamin (Sarah) Olson; Stacy (Mark) VanWormer and their children, Keegan and Kiara; Aaron Olson; Ashley Olson; Tasha (Jamison) Cornell and their children, Gracie, Brody, and Tristen; and Corey Bolstad. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene Kansier and Kathleen Haltorp, both of Viroqua; one brother, Eldon Erickson of Westby; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Delores is preceded in death by Wesley on December 31, 1998; two infant brothers and her brother Ralph Erickson; and two brother-in-laws, Henry Kansier and Alton Haltorp. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
