Ferryville / Gays Mills Dennis Roland Andert, 72, of Ferryville, Wisconsin, passed away on September 27, 2016 from pancreatic cancer. Dennis was born in Milwaukee on March 24, 1944. He graduated from Custer High School class of 1962. Dennis joined the Army Reserves completing six years of service. Dennis worked as a Commercial Printing Pressman for W.A. Krueger for 41 years. He enjoyed farming, pheasant & grouse hunting, and fishing. He was actively involved in the Crawford County Tourism Council, and Seneca Community Club. He enjoyed shooting trap locally. He was a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball teams and arm chair coach for the Green Bay Packers. He loved watching all the James Bond movies repeatedly. He had a passion for riding his Harley taking several trips to Sturgis and D.C. Dennis enjoyed watching his children and grandchildrens sporting events. Dennis is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Dwana; daughters Kimberly (Jason Vanderwerff); Kelly (Adam Dieball); sister Debbie (Rob Spaude); brother-in-law Bob Griepentrog; Aunt Phyllis Punzel and Aunt Marion Gottschalk; step-children Katrina (Chad Loebel); Kristopher Dunning (Kristi Khiudin); Kayla Dunning (Brad Klade); grandchildren Jacob Jaxon; Tegan Kai; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was previously married to Wendy Peters. Dennis is preceded in death by his mother Lois, father Roland and sister Pam. Celebration of life will be Friday, September 30th 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home; Hwy 131 Gays Mills. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Vernon Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Attn: Hospice, 507 South Main St., Viroqua, WI 54665
