Diane Christine Larson, age 71, of Oregon Wisconsin, died on Sunday, July 19, 2015. OREGON Diane Christine Larson, age 71, of Oregon Wisconsin, entered eternal life on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at her home in Oregon. She was born on July 11, 1944, in Viroqua Wisconsin, the daughter of George M. and Hazel M. (Gorder) Mills. She married Gary A. Larson on February 14, 1970, in Viroqua, at the Viroqua United Methodist Church. Diane was employed in the Insurance field for almost 40 years. She was most recently employed at the Wisconsin Medical Society, as an Insurance Agent, specializing in personal lines insurance. She retired from the Medical Society in December of 2009. Diane was an avid Quilter and Rug Hooker. She enjoyed the social aspect of these hobbies as much as the actual work involved. Diane and Gary enjoyed traveling abroad, most recently returning from a trip to Ireland in June. Diane is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary; sister, Dawn (Donald) Langaard of Viroqua; brother-in-law, Darell (Patti) Larson, Mount Pleasant; nieces, Greta (Mark) Olson, Viroqua, Leah (Matt) Rizzo, Pleasant Prairie, Lindsay (James) Heinecke, Pleasant Prairie; nephews, Greg Langaard, Viroqua, Grant (Cindy) Langaard, Westby, Guy Langaard, Viroqua, Kyle Larson, Gulfport, MS, and great nieces and nephews, and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Viroqua United Methodist Church. Pastor Jean Waldron will officiate with burial to follow in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A lunch will be served, at the Church, immediately following the burial. The family would like to express their thankfulness and gratefulness to the Doctors of Dean Clinic and St. Marys Hospital of Madison and Agrace HospiceCare of Fitchburg.
