Donald Jirasek, 79, of Morrison Il, died Sunday, September 27, 2015. Donald G. Jirasek, 79, of Morrison, Illinois, died Sunday September 27th 2015 at the ManorCare Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Platteville, Wisconsin. Don was born August 5th, 1936 in Berwyn, Illinois to George and Mae (Canik) Jirasek. After graduating high school he worked for Illinois Bell Telephone starting as a lineman and retiring as a computer troubleshooter for AT&T. Don married Dorothy Koehn on January 10th, 1959 in Pell Lake, Wisconsin. Don was an avid fisherman; he shared his enthusiasm for fishing and love of camping, campfires, and the outdoors with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He kept lovely gardens and landscaped yards throughout his life. He gifted plants, and trees to his family, friends, cemeteries, and local parks. He was passionate about giving a living legacy of plants and trees to future generations. Donald is survived by one brother George (Kathy) Jirasek; and one sister Judi (Rich) Janiak; three daughters, Cindy (Dave) Gehrke of La Farge, WI; Becky (Tim) Kelly of Carmel, IN; and Barb (Mark) Lippoldt of Hinckley, IL; one son, Chris (Debbie) Jirasek of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren: Jake (Becky) Gehrke, Heather (Steve) McCauley, Scott (Kristina) Kelly, Casey Kelly, Michael Kelly, Elizabeth Lippoldt, Brianna Lippoldt, Amber Jones, Matt (Megan Curran) Rowland; eight great-grandchildren: Ryther, Bennett, and soon to be baby girl Gehrke; Maverick, Malachi, and Myles McCauley; Caleb and Emma Rowland; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Scott Jirasek. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua.
