Donna Rae Driscoll

Donna R. Driscoll, age 77, of Sparta, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was born September 28, 1944, to Ted and Ethel (Fosdal) Lombard. On February 12, 1966, she was united in marriage to Alan Driscoll. Donna enjoyed helping others, especially when it came to painting homes. She also enjoyed weekend fishing trips with family and friends where she figured out she was an expert at fishing. Donna would tell her husband to bait the hook and then she would tell him to take the fish off the hook. He was also responsible for cleaning the fish she caught. Donna also enjoyed visiting with family and friends at social gatherings. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made pies and cookies with them over the years. She always let them eat the treats they made together, and then she sent them home to their respective parents after being ‘sugared up’ as this is what grandmas like to do. In the last few years, as she required more care, a care worker named Lisa Jensen began taking care of Donna. Lisa is a very loving and wonderful person, and she and Donna became great friends. Survivors include her husband, Alan; her daughter, Lisa (special friend, Kelly O’Brien) (Lombard) Williams of Sparta, her son, Adam (Becky) Driscoll of Norwalk, her brother, Mark (Sandy) Lombard of Ferryville; her sisters: Ramona Wettstein of Adams, WI, Carolyn Sullivan of Readstown, Mary Christopherson of Viroqua, Dorothy Rickey of La Farge, Rosie (Ron Sr.) Driscoll of La Farge, and Jane (Jerry) Holtz of Seligman, AZ; her grandchildren: Danny, Ben, Ashla, Donna, Jesse, Hunter, Dianna, and Mackenzie; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special pets, Briggs and Ms. Kitty. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her stillborn sister; her brothers-in-law, Robert Wettstein and Robert Rickey; her sisters-in-law, Pam (Dank) Lombard, Carolyn Strait, and Cynthia Lombard; her brothers, Lloyd Lombard and Raymond Lombard; her son-in-law, Dale Williams; and her sister, Patricia Hughes. Donna was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and auntie. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in La Farge. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Donna will be laid to rest at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
