Doris Marie Wheeler

Doris Marie Wheeler, age 96 of the LaFarge and Viola area, died Monday February 10, 2020. Doris Marie Wheeler, age 96 of LaFarge, Viola and more recently Lancaster, died Monday February 10, 2020 at Lancaster Health Services surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Doris was born July 24, 1923 in LaFarge WI to Everett and Minerva (Stallsmith) Norris. Doris valued loyalty and friendships very much. She could spend hours visiting with friends over a glass of good wine, but more than likely it would be over several cups of great tasting coffee with a sugar cookie or two. Doris is survived by her sons David (Shirley) Wheeler and Doug (Susan Guerrero) Wheeler; her grandchildren Christopher (Crystal) Wheeler, Ben Wheeler, and Brenna Wheeler. Preceding her in death are her parents in 1981; her daughter Cheryl Wheeler in 1998; her sister Lois (McNatt) Engen and brother Paul McNatt. Funeral services for Doris will be Friday February 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Viola United Methodist Church. Pastor Larry Stegall will officiate with burial immediately following the service at the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call on the family during a Visitation for one-hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM at the church. A luncheon at the church hall will follow the burial.
