Dorothy Mae (Greeno) Erickson was born in Galesville, WI on February 2nd, 1941. On Sunday, July 28th, 2024, Dorothy passed away at home, while surrounded by family, and went into the loving arms of Jesus.
Dorothy, with her Twin sister, Donna Mae Hanson, was born to Leo and Jessie (Park) Greeno. She attended her educational years in the Holmen School District and graduated from Holmen High School in 1959.
After high school, Dorothy enjoyed and dedicated herself to employment opportunities that all consisted of serving others. On September 14th, 1963, Dorothy married Robert Leif Erickson. They originally met on the dance floor and went on to share a passion for polka dancing. They were blessed with a son, Terry Lee and a daughter, Kimberly Kay. God blessed them with 60 years of marriage.
Dorothy’s family, that she cherished above all, was her pride and joy. She took a pause from working outside of the home, to devote her time to raising a family. There was nothing that she enjoyed more than caring for and serving her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and commitment to family.
Dorothy lived a full and vibrant life, marked by a deep dedication to her family. Dorothy’s legacy lives on through each of them. She is survived by her husband, Robert and their children, Terry and Kimberly as well as their grandchildren: Keegan, Shanay, Ambriella and Kalian. She has also been blessed to be a great-grandmother and is survived by their great-grandchildren, Mason and Mckena. Dorothy is further survived by her twin sister, Donna Mae (John) Hanson, her sister-in-law, Marilyn (Wayne) Olsen, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
