Dorothy R. Hoveland

Dorothy R. Hoveland, 85, of Viroqua died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Vernon Manor. She was born to Tom and Inga (Nessett) Lund on March 8, 1928. She graduated from Westby High School on June 1, 1945. Dorothy married Lee Hoveland on January 13, 1951 and they later divorced in 1965. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and a member of the WELCA. Dorothy worked as a secretary at Tri-State Breeders in both Westby and Baraboo before working as a secretary for her nephew Kevins insurance company for 20 years. She is survived by four nephews: Kevin (Cathy) Schlicht of Viroqua, Kurt (Donna) Schlicht of Indianapolis, David (Candi) Anderson of Madison, and Robert (Kathy) Lund of Denver; three nieces: Donna Anderson (Dennis) of Stoughton, Debra Anderson (Bruce) of Viroqua, and Irene (Gary) Lewandowski of College Park, Maryland; and one sister-in-law, Elaine Lund. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Knute Lund, Tilford "Tip" Lund, and John Lund; and two sisters: Edna Anderson and Esther Schlicht. Blessed be our memory of Dorothy Rachel Hoveland. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua at Noon. Friends may call at the church after 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is assisting the family.
