Doyle Hill

Doyle HillJuly 13, 2005 Doyle Hill, age 86 of Viola, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at his home. He was born on July 7, 1919 in Viola to Milford and Ida (Edwards) Hill. He graduated from Viola High School and on February 27, 1949 he was united in marriage to Pat Hocking. Doyle was a farmer all of his life and also hauled cattle. He enjoyed hunting and was proud to display some of his trophies. He played baseball and had the opportunity to pitch to some major league players while Doyle was in Arizona. Doyle enjoyed playing cards and was a member of a card club, playing in the basement of the Viola Bank and later at the stockyards. In addition to his wife, Pat, Doyle is survived by two daughters, Sue (Shaun) McCarthy of Richland Center and Sharon (Mike) Davis of LaCrosse; two grandchildren: Darren McCarthy and Jackie Kinsey; cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.
