Duane Norman Keach

Duane Norman Keach, 77 of Readstown, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 Duane "Dewey" Keach passed away on Sunday, May 25 at Gunderson Hospital in LaCrosse after a short illness. He was born in Marshfield Wisconsin on March 15, 1937 to Jesse and Lila Keach and moved to Viola Wisconsin in 1945, where he graduated from high school in 1955. He spent most of his life as a meat cutter in Viola and the Madison area. He later worked as a manager for Rent-A-Center stores in Texas, Arizona, and Washington. Dewey loved hunting and friends and family have many fond memories of duck hunting on the Mississippi River and deer hunting with three generations of family. He is survived by his two children Priscilla (Cliff) Johnson of Bruce, Wisconsin, and John (Tricia) Keach of Madison, and two grandchildren Cole Johnson and Ava Keach. In addition, he is survived by his sister Shirley Lockwood of Valrico, Florida and Westby, Wisconsin and his ex-wife Terri Keach of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lila and by his longtime friend Judy DeLap-Long Per Deweys wishes he was cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
