Dustin Christopher Amundson

Dustin Christopher Amundson, age 22, of Westby, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born October 20, 1999, in Viroqua to Jeremy Amundson and Sarah Bekkum. A beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend, he left this world unexpectedly. Dustin had the kindest soul and heart. He was committed to friends and his family. He would drop everything to help someone who needed it. He was always there when you needed him. Dustin always seemed to look out after others and would put others before himself. From an early age, he loved to tinker with things and try to fix them. He loved to ride his dirt bike, was fun loving and always ready to have a good time. Dustin was a true friend to his friends. Dustin had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring joy to others and had such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him. Dustin is survived by his mother, Sarah (Al) Bekkum; his father, Jeremy Amundson; five siblings, Scott (Katelyn Sherpe) Bekkum, Mark (Jadyn) Bekkum, Torger (Natalie) Bekkum, Evan Bekkum and Kaylee Bekkum; his grandparents, Randy and Marion Amundson; his grandfather, Lars Langaard; his grandparents, Daniel and Elizabeth Bekkum; two nieces, Braelyn and Maddilyn; aunts and uncles: Jennifer (David) Hiscock, Candice Amundson, John (Cathy) Langaard, Dave (Tammy) Bekkum, Lori (Tom) Lecheler, Kim (Kevin) Everhart and Michele (Kevin) Seidel; several cousins; other relatives and numerous friends. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandmas, Diane Langaard and Elvera Bekkum; and his cousin, Alex Everhart. A Funeral Service for Dustin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Dustin will be laid to rest at Vang Cemetery.
