Earl G. Deaver, 91, of Viroqua died Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Earl G. Deaver, 91, of Viroqua died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Vernon Manor in Viroqua. Earl was born in Brush Hollow to John and Clara (Borrison) Deaver on January 29, 1922. On February 14, 1942 Earl was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Betty" Henry. The couple farmed and resided in the Viroqua area their entire lives celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary before Bettys death in February of 2006. Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. Earl was a member of the local American Legion and Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Earl is survived by his children Kenneth (Kay), Jennifer (John) Stoltz, and Deborah Campton; grandchildren Todd, Eric (Debra), Heather (Jeremy) Hiles, Heidi (Nate) Balk, Tammi Olson, and Jeremy (Samantha) Campton; and great-grandchildren Katie, Tyler, Brent, Brynn, Britany, Jessica, Elizabeth, Daryn, Jermyn, Conner and Colin. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty"; and son-in-law Jim Campton. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial and military honors to follow in the Brush Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St., (Hwy.56) in Viroqua and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers and plants memorials may be made to Westby Coon Prairie Youth Group or Vernon Manor Activities Dept. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
