Eddie Clarence Pederson

Eddie Clarence Pederson, September 29, 2005 Eddie Clarence Pederson, age 95, died at his home near Genoa on Thursday, September 29, 2005. Eddie was born May 12, 1910 to Matt and Betsy (Rudser) Pederson. He was baptized, confirmed and a life member at Zion Lutheran Church. On August 31, 1940 he married Eva M. Ellefson. The couple resided in Milwaukee for one year and then moved back to the Viroqua area. Eddie was in the trucking business hauling milk, tobacco, and personal property for people. He also transported children to and from school before school buses. Eddie milked cows until he was 73 year old and continued to raise tobacco until he was 85 years old. He is survived by his son, Maynard (Ruth) Pederson of Genoa; two grandchildren, Michelle (Joe) Gavin and their son, Paul Joseph of Tomah, and Amy (Bill) DeBruyckere and their daughter, Madelyn Jo of Rochester, MN; his twin sister, Effie Mohr of West Allis and two additional sisters, Marie Huntington of Grafton, and Gladys Deblitz of Milwaukee. He is also survived by three brothers, Albon and Orris Pederson of Viroqua and Ray Pederson of DeSoto; sisters-in-law Joann Ellefson of Viroqua, Hazel Erlandson of Westby, and Agnes (Paul) Heinzel of La Crosse; and brother-in-law Reuben (Eileen) Ellefson of Westby; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; two infant sons, John and Larry; and one brother, Oscar Pederson.
