Edith Emerson

Edith Emerson, age 94, of Ferryville, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her home. She was born on August 4, 1928, to Robert and Bertha (Helgerson) Stevenson. Edith married Alvin Emerson on October 6, 1948.

Survivors include her children, Norma (Marlyn) Christianson, Connie Tessmer, Barbara Bland, Loren Emerson, and Glenn (Ellen) Emerson; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Norman Fryseth.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin; daughter-in-law, Brenda Emerson; hers and Alvin’s brothers, sisters, and in-laws; and Alvin’s parents, Albert and Inga Emerson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Utica Lutheran Church. Pastor Nile Sandeen will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Edith will be laid to rest at the church cemetery. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
