Edith Wallace, 89, of Viroqua, died Monday, May 25, 2015. Edith "Granny" Wallace, 89, of Viroqua WI passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at Vernon Manor with family by her side. She was born October 7, 1925 to Anton Suhr and Eva Hamms. On March 8, 1941 Edith married Almond Wallace. They farmed in rural Ontario until moving to Viroqua in 1969, where they farmed with their horses on County Rd. SS for many years. She is survived by her sister, Ada Peterson of Mauston, WI; six sons: Calvin Wallace of Excelsior, WI, Ray (Cathy) Wallace of LaValle, WI, Ora Wallace of Viroqua, WI, Tommy (Betty) Wallace of Cashton, WI, Paul (Laurie) Wallace of Viroqua, WI, David (Lori) Wallace of Viroqua, WI; three daughters: Rosella (Marlin Peterson) Evenson of Viroqua, WI, Pauline (Gerald) Volden of Soldiers Grove, WI, Susie Miller of Viroqua, WI; two step-sons: Cal (Lena) Wallace of Gays Mills, WI and Donald Wallace of Tomah, WI; 44 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Almond Wallace; three sons: Almond Wallace JR, Earl Wallace and Carl Wallace; one daughter, Mildred Wallace; one son-in-law, Michael Miller; two daughters-in-law: Ruth Wallace and Kay Wallace; one granddaughter, Kimberly; one grandson, Andy Wallace. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St., (Hwy 56) in Viroqua, WI. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Grace Community Church in Ontario. Pastor Bruce Milleman will officiate with burial in the Hilltop Rest Cemetery, Ontario. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Online condolences may be offered at www.vossfh.com. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
