Eleanor A. Engh Engaas

Eleanor A. (Engh) Engaas, age 89 of Westby, passed away Tuesday morning, November 28, 2006 at the Old Times Assisted Living in Westby, WI. She was born in LaCrosse, WI on August 11, 1917 to Adolph and Anna (Wargin) Engh. On September 4, 1940 she was united in marriage to William O. Engaas. The couple spent most of their married years living in Cashton, WI and on their farm near Westby, WI. William died on September 5, 2005. Eleanor loved working with crafts and gardening and she enjoyed many years of belonging to Westbys Garden Club. She also enjoyed time spent with neighbors, friends, and family. Eleanor had a love for animals, especially cats. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son: William (Kris) Engaas of New Berlin, Wisconsin; her daughter, Lori (Robert) Ludwig of Rochester, Minnesota; and daughter-in-law, Marjorie Engaas of Racine, Wisconsin. She is further survived by six grandchildren: Erika McCue, Darren Engaas, Mike Engaas, Dawn Engaas, Lindsay Ludwig, and Kristin Ludwig; one great-granddaughter, Caeli McCue; and one sister, Patty Marx of LaCrosse, WI. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Rolland Engaas; one sister, Dorothy Meir; and two brothers, Ray Engh and Jim Engh. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Pastor Gary Daines will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S Hwy 14 in Westby. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
