Elizabeth �Betty� Hope Henry Deaver

Elizabeth "Betty" Hope (Henry) Deaver, age 83 of Viroqua, died on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. She was born near De Soto, WI on July 27, 1922 to Harold and Ella Henry. Betty was an only child, however, her cousins Torval and Conrad Hendrickson were raised by Harold and Ella and were like brothers to her. On February 14, 1942 Betty married Earl G. Deaver. The couple farmed and have resided in the Viroqua area their entire lives, and just celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary. Their children are Kenneth (Kay) Deaver of Viroqua, Jennifer (John) Stoltz of Avalanche, and Deborah (Jim) Campton of LaFarge. Grandchildren are Todd (Lisa) Deaver, Eric (Debra) Deaver, Heather (Jeremy) Hiles, all of Viroqua, Heidi (Nathanial) Balk of Cashton, Tamara Olson of LaFarge, and Jeremy Campton of LaCrosse. Great-grandchildren are Katie, Tyler, Brent, Brynn, and Britany Deaver, Jessica and Elizabeth Hope Hiles, and Daryn Olson. Also left to mourn are Ray and Lucille Hetletvedt of Chippewa Falls; Floyd Deaver of Eagle River, Alaska; Terry and Gloria Deaver, Gary and Carol Deaver, and Paul, Kim, Kelsey and Kylie Krahn, all of Viroqua; as well as countless other relatives and friends. Betty had an enduring love for children; they in turn cherished her influence, love, concern, tender care, and optimism. Everyone she knew will miss her forever. Blessed be her memory. The only pain she ever caused was when she left us. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westby-Coon Prairie Lutheran Church in Westby. Pastor Dennis Hallemeier will officiate with burial in the Brush Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 West Decker (Hwy 56) Viroqua, and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 until the time of the service. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
