Eloise J. Dregne, 91 of Viroqua, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Eloise J. Dregne, age 91 of Viroqua, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She was born on July 30, 1919 to George and Nellie (Wise) Wheeler. On February 16, 1942 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dregne She is survived by her daughter Kara (Peter) Kremenski of LaCrosse; granddaughter Erin (Isaac) Hall of Salt Lake City, UT; other relatives and friends. My mom was a loving, generous person who loved her family and always spoke about her love for all of us. Her granddaughter Erin was, as she put it, "The joy of grandma and grandpas life". My mothers great love of her life was her husband Kenny. After his death she often talked about dad and their loving relationship and she never stopped missing dad. Mom was a storyteller who loved to share her lifes stories with friends and family. One of her many stories was about her wedding which was in LasVegas, dads service to his country during WWII and moms job as Rosie the Riveter. Mom also worked at the Jack and Jill in Viroqua from age 30 to 68. She liked working with the people and met so many people who enjoyed having Eloise work with them. Mom would say, "Ive had a great life and I wouldnt change a thing". She will be missed and loved. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Maplewood Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Steven Fossum will officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday at Maplewood from 1 until the time of service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
