Enola O. Iverson, age 93 of Westby, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 Enola O. Iverson, age 93 of Westby, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Norseland Nursing Home in Westby. She was born July 5, 1914 in the Town of Coon to Ole and Milla (Sund) Nerison. She attended Nerison Grade School and graduated from Westby High School and from Vernon County Normal School in Viroqua. On October 13, 1934 she married Hjalmer Iverson in Cresco, Iowa. They farmed in the Westby area until moving into Westby in 1959. They then owned and operated the Westby Gamble Store until April 1968 when they sold the business to their son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Kathy Iverson. They also were antique dealers in the Westby area. Enola worked as a clerk in the Pries Clothing Store in Viroqua for several years in the 1970s.She is survived by one son: Donald (Kathy) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; daughter: Sandra (Jon) Peterson of Cashton WI; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hjamer in 1985; four sisters: Olga, Clara, Carla and Ruth; three brothers: Oliver, Joseph and Marvin; one great-grandson. Blessed be her memory.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church in Westby. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main Street (Hwy 14 S.) in Westby. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.Memorials may be given to the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
