Eula V. Bolen

Eula V. Bolen, age 93 of Viroqua, died Friday, September 7, 2007 Eula Verna Bolen, age 93, of Viroqua died on Friday, September 7, 2007, at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. She was born January 18, 1914, in Viroqua, WI to Frithjof and Magda (Lokken) Fredrickson. She married Hobart Bolen in 1936, and he passed away in January, 1970. Eula worked in the laundry at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua, Loraine Hotel in Madison, and Spic and Span Cleaners in Madison. Proud of her Norwegian heritage, Eula baked delicious Norwegian cookies for Christmas to share with family and friends. She loved to crochet and share her lovely doilies with her loved ones. Eula kept in touch with all the relatives and did whatever she could to help anyone.Eula is survived by her two sons: Richard Bolen (Nancy) of De Forest; Lawrence "Larry" Bolen of La Crosse; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Freda (Bill-deceased) Vance of Viroqua; Irene (Virgil-deceased) Radloff of Apache Junction, AZ; brothers: Floyd Fredrickson of Viroqua; Kenneth (Erma) Fredrickson of Muscoda; Bill (Beverly) Fredrickson of Green Bay; other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister: Mildred (Tom) Mason; brother: Dan (Margaret) Fredrickson of Viroqua.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Vernon Manor for Eulas care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. (Due to road construction, please use the parking lot entrance block South of Hwy 56.) Burial will be in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday after 1:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
