Eulala West

Eulala (Greene) West, 74, of Viroqua died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Gundersen Lutheran Health Systems in La Crosse. She was born November 4, 1939 to Neil and Evelyn (Doskocil) Greene in Crawford County, Wisconsin and graduated from Muscoda High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Charles A. West on July 7, 1958 in Ettrick, VA and has resided in Viroqua, WI since 1958. Eulala worked as a legal secretary for ten years and served as Deputy City Clerk during those years. She also was a real estate broker with Hall Realty for several years, served on Viroqua Board of Education for two terms, and also on the Board of Directors for University of Wisconsin Richland Center. Eulala was employed by the City of Viroqua as utilities clerk/manager from 1976 until her retirement on January 15, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Dr. Steven Charles West and his wife, Rochelle of Tucson, AZ; grandsons: Grant Steven West and Lowell Steven West; step-grandson, Paul Kregar; her daughter, Angela Rae (West) Berg of Davis, IL; and grandson, Lucas Ray Berg; sister, Janet Rickman of Fishtail, MT; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Charlotte (Tom) Mathews of Muscoda, WI, Suzanne Richwalski of Tomahawk, WI; Kathleen Standish of Windsor, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Evelyn Greene; one grandson, Kenneth Charles Berg; son-in-law, Kenneth W. Berg; father and mother-in-law, William and Verda Elizabeth West of Muscoda, WI; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Briggs of Reedsburg, WI; and several brothers-in-law. Blessed be our memory of Eulala West.
