Eunice A. Cary, age 83 of Westby, died Thursday, November 27, 2014. Eunice Amelia (Job) Cary, age 83 of Westby, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the Norseland Nursing Home. She was born on January 27, 1931 at home in Forrest Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin to Albert and Frances (Brown) Winchel. She was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1949 Ontario High School and played clarinet in the band. On October 16, 1949 she married Richard B. Job at Sugar Grove Church, rural Westby. Pastor Walter Jenswold officiated. To this union was born six children and they farmed 60 acres on Cty D, rural Cashton. Richard "Dick" passed away suddenly on November 15, 1965 at age 35. In 1966 Eunice and her children moved to Kissel St. in Cashton where she resided until marrying Jack Cary on July 6, 1989. Pastor Benjamin Talledge officiated. They moved to Clinton Township and lived there until moving into Crestview Apartments in Westby in July of 2010. Moving to Crestview was a big change but they enjoyed getting to know new friends and the fellowship. Jack moved into the nursing home on September 23, 2014 and Eunice followed on October 20, 2014 for therapy only, but her health declined. She worked at Northern Engraving, Bank of Cashton (for 22 years) and Westby Bank. Eunice enjoyed babysitting for the grandchildren. Eunice and Jack also enjoyed gardening, mowing lawn, raising strawberries and raspberries and loved their cats. She loved eating fresh fruit and made home-made noodles, a tradition following Grandma Winchel as well as baking and cooking family meals for many. In addition to her husband, Jack, she is survived by five children: Elizabeth (Floyd) Hill of Westby, Eileen (Ron) Wuerch of Markesan, Emily (Walter) Schmitz of Sparta, Loren (Linda) Job of Tomah, David (LuEllen) Job of Racine; grandchildren: Brenda (Doug) Sisbach, Todd (Jessi) Hill, Ryan (Eve) Hill, Lisa (Brent) Burdick, Tammie (Joe) Emery, Trisha (Jason) Festerling, Kristi (Casey) Zurbuchen, Pamela (Orville) Hosford, Carrie (Steven) Glanzer, Richard P. (Sara) Job, Kelly (Amy) Schmitz, Terri (Eric) Gowey, Jared (April) Schmitz, Tonia (Jim) Sawicki, Tiffany (Tim) McFarland, Heather Job, K. Mark (Becky) Baker, Jacob Job, Jordan Job; 28 great-grandchildren; many step-great and great-great grandchildren; brother Ernest Winchel of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law, Carol Job of Cache, OK; sister-in-law, Beth Cary of Cashton; brother-in-law, Ed (Joanne) Cary of Forrest Lake, MN; aunt Charlotte VonRuden of Hillsboro; niece and nephew, Calvin Winchel and Becky (Barry) Ford; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and first husband, Dick, she was preceded in death by son, Lione Richard Job in 2003; sister-in-law, Maxine Winchel; great-grandchildren, Tristan Tyler Hill and Olivia Rosa Schmitz; mothers and fathers-in-law, Bert and Olive (Cole) Job; Phillip and Josie (Clark) Cary; brother-in-law, Jerald Cary; sister-in-law, Mary (Rex) Bufton; nephew, Daniel Cary. 2nd Corinthians 5: 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Blessed be our memory of Eunice Amelia Cary. She was always fondly known as "Grandma Job" by her grandchildren.
