Fae Zitzner

Fae Zitzner, 89, of Viroqua, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Fae Lorraine Zitzner, 89, of Viroqua died November 14, 2017 after a brief illness at Vernon Memorial Hospital. Fae was born on April 23, 1928 in Viroqua to Lewis and Aleda Tollefson and raised by Tollef and Mabel Bolstad. Fae graduated from Viroqua High School in 1945. On December 11, 1946 she married the late Lloyd "Bub" Zitzner. They raised 2 children. Fae and Bub farmed in Franklin Township between Fargo and Liberty Pole. Fae was a devoted wife and mother and was active on the day to day farm functions. Fae was very involved with her beloved Liberty Pole United Methodist Church especially the United Methodist womens group and her grandchildren. She was an ardent Packer, Badger, and Brewer fan and enjoyed spending time and interacting with her grandchildren. Fae leaves behind son Duane and his wife Kay of Cupertino, CA and son Arden and his wife Lynn of rural Viroqua. She also leaves behind a brother Graydon "Gus" Tollefson (Shirley) in Viroqua and a sister Pat Wistenberg (Phil) of Green Bay. Fae also is leaving behind 4 grandchildren (Chad Zitzner of San Jose, CA, Jerrid "Buddy" Zitzner of Viroqua, Nicolle Wang of Saratoga, CA, and Tolla Lepke of rural Viroqua), 9 great grandchildren (Keira and Reid Zitzner, Ciara Zitzner, Jonathan and Sadie Wang, Seth and Chandlor Volden, Axell and Dustin Lepke) and 2 great-great grandchildren (Maci and Talon Lepke) plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bub, sisters Shirley, Bea, Thelma "Tam", Deloris "Lory", and brothers La-Verne "Sonny" and Wayne. Blessed be her memory. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Liberty Pole United Methodist Church. Pastor Jean Waldron will officiate with burial to follow in the Liberty Pole Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home (123 W Decker/ Hwy 56) in Viroqua.
