Florence B. Herried, March 14, 2005 Florence B. Herried, age 82 of Viroqua, died Monday, March 14, 2005 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua where she had been a resident for the last four years. She was born on October 11, 1922 in Westby to Peder and Balma (Peterson) Nyhus. On September 17, 1946 she was united in marriage to Arland Herried at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Westby. Together, she and Arland enjoyed music and danced all 58 years of their marriage. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the WELCA and Priscilla Circle as well as a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Country Music Association. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Rita Kay Lay of St. Croix Falls, WI; two granddaughters: Shannon Fortier of Osceola and Kimberly Peper of Luck; two great-grandchildren: McKenzie Fortier of Osceola and Jacob Peper of Luck; one sister, Helen Jefson of Westby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Palmer Nyhus and Alvin Nyhus; and two sisters: Marian Lavold and Belva Lium. Florence B.
