Flossie L. Alderman

Flossie L. Alderman, age 89 of Viola, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 Flossie L. Alderman, age 89 of Viola, died early Saturday morning, April 28, 2007 at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. She was born on September 29, 1917 to Cyrus and Eliza (Outland) Johnson. On December 29, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ralph Stuart Alderman. Flossie was a hard worker and she and Ralph farmed in the Viola area until 1982. She also worked at OBrians in Richland Center for several years. After Ralphs death, Flossie moved to the Readstown apartments. She had also lived at the Old Times prior to moving to Vernon Manor in March of 2006. She is survived by her children: Darold (Luana) Alderman of Delavan, Verla (Kirby) Hamilton of Viola, and Cyril Alderman of LaCrosse; nine grandchildren: Jane, Peggy, Matthew, Mark, Bruce, Dennis, Bradley, Paula and Christopher; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nephew, Charles Johnson, Jr; and daughter-in-law, Mary Alderman of Viola. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on May 3, 1994; one sister, Florence; six brothers: Ray, Charlie, Otto, Earl, George and Lester; and one grandson, Daniel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Homes Henthorn Memorial Center, 129 S. Main (Hwy 56) in Viola. Pastor Joe Adams will officiate with burial in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11at the Vosseteig Funeral Homes Henthorn Memorial Center in Viola.
