Francis "Frank" Callaway

Francis “Frank” Louis Callaway, age 81, of Readstown, Wisconsin went to be with the Lord and his loving wife Myrna on Thursday, May 30th 2024.

Frank was born in Tomah, Wisconsin to James and Beulah Callaway on Christmas Day 1942. Frank grew up in Tomah, Wisconsin where he left home at a young age to start his entrepreneur endeavors. This was only the beginning for Frank as he would grow up to own many businesses and have many titles in his life, but the most important was being a follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, husband, father, grandfather, and a friend. Whether it was selling apples, lumber, fireworks, or starting a successful flea market, “Crazy Frank” always found a way to remain a true businessman.

Frank met the love of his life Myrna and shortly after, they wed on April 13th, 1964. They moved to Readstown, WI in 1970 where they raised three boys together and built a family business, Crazy Frank Sales.

Frank will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend. We will truly miss that “crazy” old man.

Frank is survived by his three sons, Mike (Roberta) Callaway, Mark Callaway, and Miles (Melissa) Callaway; his three sisters, Virginia (Maurey) Wegner, Betty (Larry) Finch, Bonnie (Steven) Howe; sister-in-law, Kathy (Roger) Friday; son-in-law, Bill Steckler; his grandchildren, Austin Callaway, Alexander (Alison) Callaway, Abigail Callaway, Joey (Erica) Steckler, Nicholas Steckler, Randy Nevsimal, Chris (Karanda) Nevsimal, Josh (Brittany) Nevsimal, Debbie (Scott) Neis, Shelly Mellema, and Jenny Mehrhoff; along with many nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beulah Callaway; his loving wife, Myrna Callaway; daughter, Linda Steckler; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Larry) Dobson, and Judy (Ed) Terpstra.

Funeral services for Frank will be held Friday, June 7th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby, WI. Pastor Doug Tremelling and Pastor George Shick will officiate the service with burial following at the Readstown Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday evening June 6th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby, and from 10 a.m – 11 a.m. on June 7th before the service. A luncheon will be held at the Readstown Advancement Building following the burial. All friends and family are welcome to join. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
