Freda Pearl Welda, 87, of La Crosse, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 Freda Pearl Welda, age 87 of La Crosse, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the Onalaska Care Center.Freda was born October 25, 1918. She graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Wisconsin La Crosse for one year. She enjoyed music. She also loved and enjoyed her family very much.Freda is survived by two daughters, Linda (Clarian) Jacobson of New Berlin and Matilda "Millie" (Larry) Gramling of Onalaska; two sons, Harold (Ramona) Welda of Adams and Gerald Welda of Janesville; ten grandchildren: Dan, Earl, Ron, Alan, Richard, David, Ron, Mike, Pegasue, and Wade; and 9 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Mason, Marshall, Corrin, Braden, Holly, Cody, Anthony, and Ashley. She is also survived by her sisters: Juanita Nash of Madison, and Darlene Oswald of Edgerton, her brother-in-law Duane Suiter of De Soto as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother, Mae (Lombard) West, her father, Private Pearl McDaniel on October 6, 1918; and three siblings: Vivian in infancy; Nita Suiter; and Lloyd West.
